Disney turns parade balloons into bags, pins and holiday keepsakes
The Macy’s collection brings a century of parade nostalgia down to shelf size.

Disney’s October 7 merchandise reveal gives Macy’s parade balloons a second life as things fans can wear and collect. The holiday assortment draws on Disney characters that have appeared above New York’s streets, including Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear and Spider-Man.
Among the announced pieces are Loungefly mini backpacks shaped around balloon characters, collectible pins and Hallmark ornaments. The collection marks the parade’s 100th march and includes the new Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey balloon design.
The practical distinction is between the reveal and the rollout: Disney said selected pieces were already online, with an in-store launch at selected Macy’s locations beginning October 15. Canadian shipping, local retail availability and current stock need to be checked with the retailer; this is not an announcement of a Vancouver store launch.
