Pikachu and Mimikyu share a Beats speaker—and the official drop is marked sold out
Beats / The Pokémon Company

Pikachu has found a new way to make some noise. Beats has put Pikachu and Mimikyu together on a special-edition Beats Pill, turning the portable speaker’s grille into a Pokémon double act. A grey carry lanyard adds a Poké Ball charm, and the box includes special-edition stickers.

The collaboration launched October 15 at 8 a.m. Pacific. Beats named the US, UK and China as launch markets, with Apple and selected regional retailers handling the release. Its US announcement lists US$149.99. Canada is not among the markets named on the official collaboration page.

The catch for collectors: the official Beats page now marks the drop Sold Out. That label does not establish inventory at every retailer or store, and no restock date has been confirmed. This is a look at the collaboration, rather than a promise of local availability.

Beats rates the speaker for up to 24 hours of battery life and IP67 dust and water resistance. Those are manufacturer claims, not results of a VTV hands-on test. The main attraction here is the unlikely pairing: an electric mascot and its spooky lookalike, sharing one soundtrack.
