The announcement

Local creation takes centre stage.

ASUS has announced Canadian preorders for two new ProArt laptops: the 14-inch P14, starting at C$3,499, and the 16-inch P16, starting at C$4,999. Select configurations open for preorder on October 7, with shipping estimated to begin October 16.

Both use NVIDIA RTX Spark, which combines a Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU. The shared memory pool is the central feature: selected configurations offer 128GB, giving supported local models and creative projects more room to operate. Entry models have 24GB or 32GB; the starting prices do not apply to the 128GB versions.

ASUS is positioning the machines for image and video generation, local models and workflows that connect creative applications. Its announced ecosystem includes Hermes Agent, ComfyUI, MuseTree and StoryCube. Supported tasks run on the device, while cloud services remain an option when a workflow calls for them.

What to know about local workflows.

ASUS says supported on-device work can avoid cloud per-token charges and keep prompts and project files on the computer. That depends on the software and services selected: connecting a cloud tool can still involve data transfers and fees.

The company quotes up to one petaflop of FP4 AI performance for the platform. This is a manufacturer specification, not a measured result from Vancouver Television. Model size, available memory, software and workload all affect practical performance.

This is launch coverage based on ASUS’s Canadian announcement and product specifications, rather than a hands-on review. Confirm application compatibility and the exact configuration’s specifications before purchasing.
