Black. Gold.
Unmistakably extra.
The transparent-console era called. ROG picked up—and added an OLED screen.
ASUS’s anniversary handheld is now available in Canada, with shipments beginning October 15. The ROG Xbox Ally X20 pairs a translucent black chassis with glimpses of gold inside, celebrating two decades since Republic of Gamers began in 2006.
The standalone device starts at C$1,899. The C$3,499 bundle goes considerably further: AR glasses, dbrand protection and a custom Pelican case turn the portable into a collector’s travelling setup.

Big OLED energy.
This is the first Ally with a ROG Nebula HDR display: a 7.4-inch Full HD OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. ASUS lists up to 1,400 nits of peak HDR brightness, alongside Dolby Vision and FreeSync Premium Pro.
Underneath: AMD’s Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory and a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD. The 80Wh battery is a capacity figure, not a promise of a particular play time.

The bundle’s ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 glasses connect by USB-C and offer a virtual view of up to 171 inches at four metres. That describes the perceived viewing size—not a physical 171-inch display.
Inside are 1080p-per-eye micro-OLED displays, a 57-degree field of view and Sound by Bose audio. Refresh rate is 120Hz, with up to 240Hz available when Frame Rate Boost is enabled. Native 3DoF tracking and Anchor Mode let you choose how the virtual screen behaves as you move.
