Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10, Week 6 has concluded with UFC announcing Tuesday’s contract winners following an event held at the Meta APEX. In the featured bout, Ecuadorian welterweight Mayton Perea defeated Zevan Hunt by first-round knockout, stopping the fight at 0:45. The UFC’s report says Hunt came out looking to strike before being hurt by Perea with straight shots that dropped him to the canvas; Hunt attempted to recover, but the finish followed as Perea unleashed additional heavy shots to send Hunt back to the mat again and close the bout quickly.

In a 185-pound matchup, Brazilian middleweight Igor “Jacare” Cavalcanti earned a first-round stoppage over Peruvian opponent Oscar Ravello. UFC officials credited Cavalcanti with forcing referee Kevin McDonald to wave off the contest at 1:38 after Cavalcanti dropped Ravello with a right hand and then delivered ground strikes that kept pressure on until the intervention.

The night also featured an early finish in the lightweight division, with undefeated Akbar Abdullaev delivering a 19-second knockout of Ednilson Santos. UFC’s recap describes Abdullaev setting up the end with range-finding jabs before landing an overhand right that knocked Santos out immediately.

Luis Hernandez produced a submission win in a middleweight bout against French hopeful Hugo Guillon, tapping him in Round 2. UFC’s account says Hernandez secured a takedown, traded close quarters against the cage, and survived a sequence involving knees and a potential anaconda choke before taking Guillon’s back and locking in a rear-naked choke to force the tap.

In the opening bout, Tyshawn Williams defeated Antonio Monteiro in a featherweight contest. UFC reported that the judges scored the fight 29-28, 29-27, 29-27 for Williams, who improved to 9-0.
