CFL names David Ungerer III, Tyrice Beverette and Keon Hatcher Sr. as Forty-Creek Quadruple Header Players of the Week

The Canadian Football League (CFL) has named David Ungerer III of the Toronto Argonauts, Tyrice Beverette of the Montreal Alouettes and Keon Hatcher Sr. of the BC Lions as Forty-Creek Quadruple Header Players of the Week. The league’s announcement, released September 15, 2026, highlights standout statistical performances and key game moments from the most recent week of play.

Ungerer III, listed as a receiver (REC) for Toronto, earned the honor after posting seven receptions for a career-high 175 yards in the Argonauts’ 26–23 win over the Ottawa Redblacks. The CFL credited him with his first 100-yard-plus game of the season and the second of his career, including a 34-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter, two receptions of 30-plus yards led by an 85-yard grab in the second quarter, and three second-down conversion receptions. The league also noted 58 yards after catch.

Beverette, a linebacker (LB) for Montreal, was recognized following a performance that included seven defensive tackles and two sacks. The CFL said the sacks led to a loss of 23 total yards and marked the second time in his career he recorded multiple sacks in a game. The league also pointed to a forced fumble in the second quarter that was recovered by Mustafa Johnson and returned for a 23-yard touchdown. Beverette was previously identified as the second Player of the Week honour for W14.

Hatcher Sr., also listed as a receiver (REC), received the honor for the BC Lions after recording nine receptions for 137 yards in BC’s 48–29 result against the Montreal Alouettes. The CFL said it was his second 100-yard-plus game of the season and the 16th of his career, with a four-yard touchdown in the second quarter, a 30-plus-yard reception, three second-down conversion catches and 28 yards after catch.
