Golden State’s Valkyries evened the 2026 WNBA Finals at 2-2 by defeating the Atlanta Dream 67-62 in Game 4 on Saturday, October 24. The win comes after back-to-back losses for Golden State, setting up Game 5 with the series tied and a chance for either club to take the lead in the best-of-seven matchup.

Atlanta’s Rhyne Howard led all scorers with 19 points during the game. The Dream created separation late, cutting Golden State’s margin to four points with under a minute remaining, but the Valkyries held on to secure the Game 4 win.

Golden State’s offense was powered by Gabby Williams’ 17-point performance. The WNBA live updates also credited Williams with rebounds, assists, and steals as part of the Valkyries’ overall production, alongside double-figure scoring from teammates who reached 10+ points in the win.

Veronica Burton scored 13 points for Golden State and contributed a late three-pointer that pushed the Valkyries’ lead back up to nine points with under five minutes left in regulation. Tiffany Hayes also reached double figures with 13 points as Golden State maintained control over the final stretch of the game.

At halftime, Golden State held a significant advantage, leading Atlanta 42-26. The WNBA’s Game 4 sequence credited Williams with 11 points at the break, while also noting Cecilia Zandalasini and Howard among the scorers for both sides during the first half.

The Valkyries built their early advantage with a strong defensive start and quickly established a multi-possession lead. Golden State’s first quarter ended with the Valkyries ahead 16-11, and the game’s momentum shifted again in the second quarter as Golden State extended its advantage further.

According to the league’s live log, Golden State used a 14-2 run over a portion of the second quarter to extend its lead to 16 points. That surge included a three-point play by Cecilia Zandalasini to raise the lead, and it came after Golden State opened the game with a 12-0 run with 2:30 remaining in the first quarter.

Atlanta responded during the second quarter as the Dream narrowed the game’s margin through a scoring run that included a late first-half contribution from rookie Isobel Borlase. The league’s updates also highlighted Angel Reese getting her first bucket of the day in the second quarter as Atlanta continued to chip away at the Valkyries’ lead.

In the fourth quarter, the Dream began closing the gap despite Golden State’s lead entering the final quarter. The WNBA’s live updates described Golden State holding a nine-point lead with ten minutes remaining, followed by Howard scoring in double figures to keep the Dream within striking distance.

As the final minutes unfolded, the WNBA’s Game 4 sequence documented Burton’s three-pointer increasing Golden State’s advantage back to nine with fewer than five minutes left. From there, Howard continued to push Atlanta’s comeback, including drawing contact for an and-one opportunity after the score tightened to a four-point game late.

With Game 4 completed, the series stands even at 2-2 and shifts back to Golden State’s home court for the next matchup. The WNBA live updates indicated Game 5 is scheduled for Monday, October 26 at 8 PM ET, with the game set to air on USA Network.

Following the Game 4 outcome, Golden State will attempt to take control of the series in Game 5 after its 67-62 road victory, while Atlanta will look to reclaim advantage after the Dream’s late push fell short. The league’s official Game 4 reporting confirms the final score, the top individual scorers, and the series tie heading into the next contest.
