Ferrari unveils special HP-themed livery for the United States Grand Prix in Austin
Image accompanying the official F1 announcement.Ferrari has become the latest Formula 1 team to unveil a special livery for the United States Grand Prix weekend in Austin, Texas, dressing both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton’s SF-26 cars with a unique design.
The livery project was developed “in close collaboration” with Ferrari’s title partner HP, combining sketches, technical drawings and blueprint-inspired graphics. Ferrari said the Austin design places the development process itself “at centre stage,” celebrating the work that begins long before a car reaches the circuit.
Ferrari added that creating the graphics involved multiple rounds of testing and refinement with HP specialists. The aim, according to the team, was to ensure the visuals applied to the cars could be reproduced accurately for the event.
HP Latex technology is cited by Ferrari as the method used to reproduce the blueprint-inspired graphics. The team said the approach continues collaborative work Ferrari and HP have pursued on previous special liveries.
Silvia Cavallaro, Head of Color and Trim at Ferrari, described the concept as an acknowledgement of the path from “idea to reality.” She said Ferrari’s process starts with creativity, sketches and engineering expertise well before track time, and that the collaboration with HP allowed that journey to be brought to life visually.
With the announcement, Ferrari joins other teams that have produced event-specific car liveries for the United States Grand Prix weekend, using the SF-26 presentation as a platform to spotlight the engineering and craftsmanship behind its cars as well as the design process that supports performance.
The team said the livery is intended to reveal “the craftsmanship and innovation behind the performance,” and the Ferrari release directed fans to a gallery of the special design for the Austin event.
