Sao Paulo Grand Prix weekend schedule and how to watch the 2026 Formula 1 action
Image accompanying the official F1 announcement. The 2026 Formula 1 season heads to Brazil for the 20th Grand Prix weekend of the campaign, with the Sao Paulo event staged at Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos). According to Formula 1, the weekend begins on Friday, 6 November, with Free Practice 1 at 12:30 local time, followed by Free Practice 2 at 16:00 later that day.
Saturday, 7 November, features a final hour of practice at 11:30 before Qualifying gets underway at 15:00. The Grand Prix itself is scheduled for Sunday, 8 November, with the race set to start at 14:00 local time, with Formula 1 pointing viewers to its published global start times for Sunday’s race session.
Coverage and viewing options are also being promoted by Formula 1. The league says live session coverage is available on F1 TV Pro in selected countries, with features including onboard cameras on all 22 drivers’ cars and access to Pre-Race and Post-Race Shows. Formula 1 adds that F1 TV Pro can be streamed via Apple TV, Chromecast (Generation 2 and above), Android TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku, and that it is free of ad breaks and offers commentary in six languages.
For viewers seeking higher resolution and multi-device viewing, Formula 1 says F1 TV Premium provides access to races in 4K Ultra HD/HDR on up to six different devices. The league also describes a personalised Multiview option on select devices, allowing fans to choose from 26 different feeds, and says that viewers can watch every Formula 1 Grand Prix, F1 Sprint, Qualifying, and practice session live in 4K Ultra HD/HDR at home. Formula 1 notes that F2, F3, F1 ACADEMY and Porsche Supercup sessions are also available live on the platform.
If viewers prefer to follow without video streaming, Formula 1 states that live timing is available on F1.com and the F1 app across every session during the Grand Prix weekend.
Formula 1 also situates the event at Interlagos, noting that the current circuit layout has been used since 1990 and has been on the calendar every year since, except in 2020 during the COVID-19 period. The league describes the circuit as a challenge due to high-speed corners, flowing undulations and a long main straight, while also highlighting overtaking opportunities, including into Turn 1.
Finally, Formula 1 says the weekend is expected to include periods of rain. The league’s event guide suggests Friday practice could see heavy rain, “although mostly in the morning,” while Saturday is described as having thunderstorms throughout the day. It also flags that Sunday’s race is at risk of rain, but with “lighter in intensity,” as part of its preview of weather conditions.
