Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2026: key session times and how to watch on F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Premium

Formula 1 heads to Baku this weekend for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the 15th Grand Prix weekend of the 2026 season and the ninth time the race has been held at the Baku City Circuit. According to Formula 1, Free Practice 1 starts on Thursday, September 24 at 12:30 local time, with Free Practice 2 scheduled for 16:00. Free Practice 3 follows on Friday, September 25 at 12:30, ahead of Qualifying at 16:00. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix gets underway on Saturday, September 26 at 15:00 local time at the street venue that mixes wide, open sections with tighter, twistier areas around the old town and medieval walls.

Heading into the Baku weekend, Formula 1 reports that Kimi Antonelli has extended his lead in the drivers’ standings to 81 points after his victory in Madrid. The same update notes that Lando Norris, who started from pole, missed out on a potential win last time out, and it frames this weekend as an opportunity for the McLaren driver to respond.

For viewing, Formula 1 says coverage from every session is available live on F1 TV Pro in selected countries, featuring onboard cameras on all 22 drivers’ cars and access to Pre-Race and Post-Race shows. Formula 1 also lists F1 TV Premium as an option, offering 4K Ultra HD/HDR access on up to six devices and a Multiview feature on select devices. Alternatively, live timing will be available across every session on F1.com and in the F1 app during the Grand Prix weekend. Separately, the 2026 Formula 2 campaign’s Round 12 at Baku is scheduled for a Sprint Race on Friday, September 25 at 08:15 local time, with Feature Race 1 at 14:15 and Feature Race 2 on Saturday, September 26 at 11:00.
