Audi unveils special livery for Singapore Grand Prix, featuring peranakan pattern and night-race theme
Image accompanying the official F1 announcement.Audi will run a one-off design across the livery of the R26 and on the race suits of its drivers for the Singapore Grand Prix, with the reveal framed around the city’s identity and Formula 1’s first night race in the sport.
The car’s design blends a Singapore-specific take on Audi’s usual Titanium Silver Grey with a traditional peranakan pattern. Audi said the peranakan motif will be featured on the sidepods and rear wing, then carried over onto Nico Hulkenberg’s and Gabriel Bortoleto’s race suits.
Audi linked the visual concept to Singapore’s transition from daylight to twilight, positioning the livery as a connected design idea that ties the team to the host city’s atmosphere for the event.
As part of the same launch, Audi said it has paired the livery reveal with a limited-edition Adidas capsule collection. The brand said the fashion element continues the messaging of “The Art of Influence,” a 360-degree programme intended to bring Formula 1 closer to fans through activations in Singapore and online.
In a statement, Stefano Battiston, Audi’s Chief Brand and Commercial Officer, said “Bringing Formula 1 to the people means giving fans more ways to feel part of the team, wherever they are,” adding that Singapore shows how this can be done “through one connected idea.”
Battiston also said the special livery “expresses our brand through a design shaped by the city,” and that the story will extend beyond the race car through the Adidas collection and “experiences across Singapore.” He added that “The Art of Influence” invites fans to engage “whether they are here in the city or following from home.”
