Charles Leclerc has taken the Formula 1 “Driver of the Day” fan vote for the United States Grand Prix in Austin, beating Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen in the final rankings.

The selection marks Leclerc’s third Driver of the Day prize of 2026. According to the voting breakdown released by Formula 1, the Ferrari driver received 25.7% of the vote, narrowly ahead of Verstappen at 24% and Antonelli at 18.7%.

Formula 1 said Leclerc secured his second consecutive P2, supported by a “feisty” performance during the race at Circuit of the Americas. It described Antonelli as the driver nobody could catch out front, while Leclerc and Verstappen remained locked in a competitive duel for second place throughout.

Leclerc briefly got ahead of Verstappen on the opening tour, Formula 1 reported. However, the decisive overtake for second did not come immediately, with the pass occurring “seven laps from home,” after which Leclerc held his position to secure the result and claim 18 points.

The remaining vote shares listed by Formula 1 were Lando Norris (7.5%) and Lewis Hamilton (5.4%), completing the published top selections in the poll.
