Street circuits often reward carefully timed development, and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix has brought a wide spread of update decisions across the grid. Mercedes have not submitted any upgrades for this weekend, and Ferrari are seeking to maximise their current package in Baku.

McLaren are the first of the frontrunners to introduce a wide range of upgrades, including revised sidepod inlet shaping plus changes to the engine cover and coke line, an alternative sidepod, and modifications to the rear suspension fairings aimed at improving aerodynamic performance. The bodywork updates are complemented by a new floor edge design and diffuser layout, while the rear wing has been adjusted to deploy its flap to a different position in Straight Mode to reduce drag. McLaren also changed the cooling louvre layout and position for maximum aerodynamic performance at various cooling levels, with the package described as track-specific for the Baku City Circuit.

Red Bull’s changes are described as subtle, centered on revised floor geometry and a revised sidepod intended to increase local downforce while keeping flow stability. To blend the new sidepod into the existing bodywork, Red Bull adjusted the cooling louvres, and further changes were made to the mirror assembly and halo to support downstream conditioning and add local load. Racing Bulls mirrored the flow-conditioning focus with a new front wing and brake duct, alongside front suspension changes to manage air flow downstream and around the car so the floor can work effectively.

Audi have brought extensive changes to target a closer fight in the midfield: a completely new front wing and nose, revised front suspension fairings, an updated floor and bodywork package, plus adjustments to the rear wing and rear suspension. The report notes this is part of 14 upgraded parts. Williams, meanwhile, opted to wait for a single round and have introduced updated floor bodywork assembly, revised tail geometry working with the new floor, reprofiled surfaces on front brake duct flow-conditioning devices, and multiple rear adjustments including realigned rear suspension surfaces and a retuned rear brake duct.

Among others, No upgrades have been listed for Alpine, Haas, and Aston Martin, while Cadillac introduced an updated brake cooling inlet and exit duct profile, revised front suspension fairing surfaces to match the front-corner changes, and an adjusted diffuser for increased local aerodynamic load.
