Brock Boeser said the Vancouver Canucks’ repeated struggles are “embarrassing” after their 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.
The Story
The Vancouver Canucks’ losing streak reached nine games following their 5-2 defeat to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night.
The loss featured another rough stretch for Vancouver, including being held without a shot in the second period and finishing the game with only 13 shots total, leaving the team outplayed by Detroit.
After the game, Canucks forward Brock Boeser spoke to reporters and said, “It’s the same stuff game after game,” adding, “I don't know where the disconnect is. I don't know if guys aren't listening to what the coaches are preaching on our style of play or if some of our structure is not working, or what it is. It's embarrassing.”
Vancouver is scheduled to play its next game on Sunday night against the Minnesota Wild, with Quinn Hughes facing his former team.
