Taste of Iceland debuts in Vancouver with free concerts, Icelandic cuisine and cultural events Nov. 11–14

Taste of Iceland is set to debut in Vancouver from November 11 to 14, 2026, featuring live music, Icelandic food and cultural activities at multiple venues.

The Story

Taste of Iceland will debut in Vancouver this November, bringing four days of live music, Icelandic cuisine, photography, comedy and other cultural programming to venues across the city from November 11 to 14, 2026.

The festival is organized by Inspired by Iceland and will be held at The Pearl, Hawksworth Restaurant, J Lounge and The Hargrove. Most events are described as free, though tickets are required and early arrival is recommended.

The festival begins on November 11 with a free Iceland Airwaves concert at The Pearl, featuring virgin orchestra and SCAM, with DJ Hermigervill performing between sets. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Food programming runs from November 12 to 14 at Hawksworth Restaurant, where Icelandic chef Ísak Darri and Vancouver chef David Hawksworth will collaborate on a special prix fixe menu featuring Icelandic cod and lamb. The dining experience is available for lunch and dinner, with reservations required.

On November 13, musicians Skúli Sverrisson and Óskar Guðjónsson will perform contemporary Icelandic jazz at The Hargrove from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

An additional highlight is Iceland by the World’s Worst Photographer, featuring photographs by Blanche Mortemard selected from nearly 130,000 applicants. The exhibition runs November 13 and 14 at J Lounge.

Festival programming on Saturday includes a Social Ride in Stanley Park, described as a 24-kilometre cycling event with Canadian Lauf rider Oskar Stack-Michasiw; Northern Lights Over Vancouver, in which astronomy educator Sævar Helgi Bragason explores Iceland’s aurora followed by a virtual reality travel experience; and Iceland Unfiltered, an adults-only performance featuring Reykjavík comedians Ragnar and Bergur Ebbi sharing stories about Icelandic life.

The festival also includes opportunities to enter prize draws, including chances to win a trip for two to Iceland.
