The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says a $40 million Lotto Max winning ticket from the Oct. 28, 2025 draw will expire on Oct. 28, 2026 if the ticket holder does not come forward.
The Story
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is urging the holder of an unclaimed $40 million Lotto Max winning ticket to come forward before the claim deadline.
OLG said the ticket corresponds to the Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 Lotto Max draw, and that the unclaimed $40 million winning ticket will expire on Oct. 28, 2026 unless the rightful ticket holder comes forward to OLG before then.
The ticket was sold in Grey County, Ont. OLG identified the winning numbers as 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43, 45, with a bonus number of 27.
OLG said customers have exactly a year from the draw date to claim prizes for tickets printed from the lottery terminal. For Instant games, OLG said lottery players have until the expiry date printed on the back of the ticket.
In cases where the winner cannot be found, OLG said unclaimed jackpot prizes are returned to the prize pool.
OLG spokesperson Tony Bitonti said winners who miss the deadline should have “a really good reason” to claim their prize after a year, adding that it is “a case-by-case basis” to determine whether the person is the rightful owner of the ticket.
