Brock Boeser scored his 80th-career power-play goal against the New York Islanders to move into the Vancouver Canucks’ top five for power-play goals.
The Story
Brock Boeser reached a franchise milestone by scoring his 80th-career power-play goal in a matchup against the New York Islanders, moving him into the Vancouver Canucks’ top five for power-play goals scored.
With the goal, Boeser passed Todd Bertuzzi for fifth all-time in Canucks power-play goals. He now has 80 career power-play goals out of 228 total NHL goals, and the strike was his first power-play goal of the season.
The Canucks’ all-time power-play goals list now has only Trevor Linden (97), Tony Tanti (102), Markus Näslund (114) and Daniel Sedin (138) ahead of Boeser.
Boeser has scored five or more power-play goals in every season of his career where he has played more than 10 games, with his highest total being 16 in 2023–24.
Elias Pettersson is the only other active Canuck within the franchise’s top-10 range for power-play goals, sitting at 11th with 64.
