The Story

A special week-long pop-up shop has opened in downtown Vancouver as Bruno Mars prepares to begin a five-night run at BC Place.

The temporary store is at 820 Granville St., the former location of the FIFA World Cup store. It opened Tuesday, Oct. 13, and will run daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Oct. 21, which is the last night for the Romantic Tour in Vancouver.

The pop-up features exclusive merchandise, including tour T-shirts, key chains and tote bags.

The store will also host two meet-and-greets for fans of Hello Kitty to meet the character. The events are scheduled for Oct. 16 and Oct. 17, both from noon to 4 p.m.

Hello Kitty Cafe on Robson Street is also offering limited-time items and a selection of Hello Kitty and Bruno Mars merchandise. The Robson Street shop will have drinks, a cake and chocolates, along with stickers and other items.

Another Hello Kitty meet-and-greet is scheduled for Oct. 18 from noon to 4 p.m. at 1274 Robson St.
