Vancouver Canucks defenceman Luke Schenn has been identified by Anthony Di Marco as a potential trade option for the Philadelphia Flyers early in the 2026-27 season.
The Story
Anthony Di Marco identified Vancouver Canucks defenceman Luke Schenn as a potential trade target for the Philadelphia Flyers as the 2026-27 season gets underway.
Di Marco noted that Schenn previously played for Philadelphia from 2013 to 2015 and that his one-year contract includes a full no-movement clause.
At the time of the report, Schenn was playing on Vancouver’s third pair alongside Zeev Buium.
Di Marco suggested the Flyers could consider Schenn as a depth option on their blue line, particularly if David Jiricek and/or Simon Benoit are unable to hold down their roles.
Schenn has appeared in four games with Vancouver this season, recording two assists, nine hits, and a plus-4 rating.
Di Marco’s assessment also pointed to Schenn as a veteran presence given his NHL experience.
Schenn is in his third stint with the Canucks. He previously played for Vancouver in 2018-19 and again from 2021-22 to 2022-23. Over 143 games across four Canucks seasons, he has eight goals, 42 points, 621 hits and a plus-24 rating. In 2022-23, split between Vancouver and the Toronto Maple Leafs, Schenn recorded 318 hits.
Schenn played four seasons with the Flyers, from 2012-13 to 2015-16. In 213 games with Philadelphia during that span, he recorded 12 goals, 42 points, and 712 hits.
