Lee’s Donuts has posted “coming soon” signs for a new shop at 3712 Main St., just south of Mount Pleasant.
The Story
Signs are up for a new Lee’s Donuts at 3712 Main St., just south of Mount Pleasant, indicating the storefront is set to open “coming soon.”
The location will be the latest step in Lee’s expansion within Vancouver, with the chain previously having opened its newest shop on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Guildford Town Centre in Surrey.
Lee’s has 12 locations when including its doughnut trailer at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet near YVR, and the chain was launched in 1979 by Betty-Ann and Alan Lee.
Alan Lee died in 2014, and Betty-Ann continued running the business until 2014, when she sold the doughnut shop at Granville Island to Allan and Celine Bacani, who were longtime customers.
Lee’s fame rose in 2019 after Seth Rogen visited the shop as part of the Netflix series Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
The Main Street storefront most recently operated as a Narvan pop-up and previously was Show Off for nearly 20 years.
