Seahawks right guard Anthony Bradford is set to return for Seattle’s Sunday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs after a stint on injured reserve.
The Story
Seahawks right guard Anthony Bradford will return for Seattle’s Sunday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team announced Oct. 23, 2026.
Bradford’s return will be only his second game of the season. He was placed on injured reserve after suffering an injury in the season opener.
Head coach Mike Macdonald said the coaching staff is encouraged by how Bradford has handled his recovery. “It’s exciting. I’m really happy with AB (Anthony Bradford),” Macdonald said Monday. He added that Bradford’s approach to the injury has him “a better version of himself than he was before he got injured,” praising his work ethic and positive mentality. Macdonald said Bradford has played “really good football” and is a “very physical presence” at right guard in both the run and pass, which has the team “excited to possibly get him back.”
Macdonald also said Friday’s practice underscored the impact of Bradford’s absence and return, noting it will mark just the second time this season Seattle has had its entire starting offensive line together. “It’s nice to get the starting five back together,” Macdonald said after Friday’s practice, adding that Christian Haynes and Beau Stephens filled in effectively but that Bradford “earned this job for a reason.”
Bradford said he played in Week 1 and missed Week 2 before being placed on injured reserve with knee and hip injuries. He described the decision as “good,” saying it helped ensure his “whole body” was cleared up rather than dealing with something that would last “year long.”
While he was on injured reserve, Bradford said he stayed involved with the team. “Most dudes that are on IR, they probably feel a little left out, getting out the building early, but I kept in it,” Bradford said. He added that he attended meetings, worked out, and stayed around the group to make sure he was “in the fight with the boys every week.”
Bradford concluded by saying, “I appreciate the decision. Now I’m ready to play ball.”
