Vancouver Fringe enters its final weekend with shows across Granville Island and beyond

The festival runs through September 20, with theatre, comedy, dance and music and individual show tickets starting at $16.

The Story

Vancouver Fringe’s final weekend gives audiences until September 20 to catch independent performances on Granville Island and at other participating venues. The 2026 program includes theatre, comedy, dance, drag and music, with more than 80 shows to choose from.

The festival is in its 42nd year. Vancouver-based artists account for more than two-thirds of the productions in its programming announcement. That makes this a chance to discover local performers alongside artists visiting from elsewhere in Canada.

Among the productions highlighted by the festival are Sophia Saugstad’s Coming of Rage and Marita Michaelis’s LIVE IN HELL. Their individual listings provide the performance dates, venue and booking details; a festival-wide closing date does not mean every production plays every day.

Individual tickets start at $16. MultiBuy passes and Fringe+ offers are available, so visitors planning several performances can compare those options with separate tickets. The festival says the base ticket price goes to the performers.

For the September 18–20 weekend, use the dated show listings to build an itinerary and leave time to move between venues. The Kids Fringe events took place September 12–13 and should not be mistaken for upcoming programming. The Fringe Patio also has its own schedule, separate from ticketed theatre performances.
