The Story
The Portland Trail Blazers have added guard Scoot Henderson to their injury report ahead of Tuesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, listing him as questionable with left ankle soreness for the Oct. 27 game.
According to the NBA’s injury report, Henderson has not been ruled out, but his availability remains in question as the Blazers work to decide whether he can play.
Henderson has appeared in both of Portland’s first two games this season. He posted averages of 9.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19.9 minutes per contest, scoring 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting in Portland’s Oct. 21 season-opening 124-83 victory over the Phoenix Suns.
Against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 23, Portland won 128-120. Henderson finished with four points, two assists and one rebound in 21 minutes, shooting 1-of-7 from the field.
The Blazers enter Tuesday’s game with a 2-0 record, while the Lakers are 3-0. The teams are scheduled to tip off at 11 p.m. ET.
Portland is also without guard Shaedon Sharpe for Tuesday’s game as he recovers from right meniscus surgery.
Sharpe has been ruled out, and Henderson’s uncertain status adds to Portland’s backcourt availability questions. Reserve center Branden Carlson is also listed as questionable while he remains in concussion protocol.
On the Lakers’ side, Cameron Carr has been ruled out with a right oblique strain, and Adou Thiero has been ruled out with left knee swelling. Walker Kessler is listed as available despite a left finger splint.
