Vít Krejčí was diagnosed with a lower-left leg fracture following Portland’s 132-119 road win over the Phoenix Suns on Nov. 4, 2026.
The Story
The Portland Trail Blazers’ win over the Phoenix Suns took an immediate turn after Vít Krejčí suffered a severe injury to his lower left leg in Phoenix on Wednesday night.
The injury occurred late in the third quarter during a defensive play as Krejčí attempted to draw a charge on Suns forward Miles Bridges. Krejčí collided, landed awkwardly, and immediately clutched his left leg in pain on the floor before exiting the game.
Before leaving, Krejčí recorded five points, three rebounds and two assists in 12 minutes off the bench. He required assistance from teammates to reach the bench and then hopped on one leg toward the tunnel and the training room.
Following the game, head coach Micah Nori confirmed the injury diagnosis, saying Krejčí suffered a leg fracture. Nori described the locker-room atmosphere as “very somber,” adding that teammates rallied to support the 26-year-old wing. No official recovery timeline was released, and further medical testing would determine whether surgery is required.
The injury was another major setback for a Portland roster already managing multiple absences. The Trail Blazers have had Shaedon Sharpe out following August meniscus surgery with a return not projected until after the All-Star break, and Ja Morant was out for several weeks recovering from a Grade 2 left hamstring strain.
Despite the mounting injuries, Portland’s 6-1 start included a franchise best seven-game opening since the 1999-2000 season. In the win, Damian Lillard scored 25 points and Donovan Clingan added 24 for the Blazers as they extended their road winning streak to five games.
