Flames still waiting on update for goaltender Devin Cooley after Edmonton injury

Calgary says goaltender Devin Cooley remains under evaluation after a lower-body injury in Wednesday’s 4-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

The Story

The Calgary Flames are still awaiting an update on goaltender Devin Cooley after he was injured on a lower-body collision in the crease with Edmonton forward Colton Dach with 12 seconds remaining in the first period.

Cooley stopped eight of nine shots before leaving the game and was replaced by Dustin Wolf as Calgary fell 4-0 to the Oilers.

Flames head coach Ryan Huska said Thursday that there was no further update on Cooley’s condition, and no timetable for his return has been announced.

Before the setback, Cooley had started all four games of Calgary’s recent four-game winning streak, posting a 1.50 goals-against average and .955 save percentage during that stretch.

The Flames return home to face the Seattle Kraken on Friday.
