The Story
Metro Vancouver has a full slate of arts, community gatherings and family-friendly activities running through the first week of November 2026, with key dates spanning Nov. 2 to Nov. 9.
At the Arts Club Theatre Company, DRACULA: A Comedy of Terrors runs from Oct. 22 to Nov. 15, 2026, at the Lindsay Family Stage at Granville Island. Josh Epstein directs the production, which the listing describes as a comedy of humourous wordplay, physical comedy and outrageous characters.
Music and performance also feature in the schedule: Ballet BC presents Bodies & Voices from Nov. 5 to Nov. 7, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
The month’s recurring seasonal entertainment includes a rotating lineup of family options. The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Museum of Vancouver and Vancouver Maritime Museum will be open for by-donation entry on the first Sunday of every month, with the next first-sunday opening listed for the series of “first Sunday of every month” dates.
For festival-goers, the Heart of the City Festival marks its 23rd year, running from Oct. 30 to Nov. 7, 2026. The listing says the festival brings over 100 arts and cultural events to the Downtown Eastside, with events described as taking place “varies” for locations.
Beyond the festival, additional scheduled community events include the Golden Autumn Festival on Nov. 7, 2026, at Bodhi Meditation Vancouver, described as featuring games, food, cultural experiences and family fun.
A citywide civic event is also on the calendar: the Port Coquitlam City Council inauguration is set for Nov. 9, 2026, at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. The program described in the listing includes a procession led by a piper, RCMP and fire and emergency services honour guards, an oath of office administered to the mayor and council by a Provincial Court judge, and a reception with light refreshments.
