Chiefs visit Seahawks for Sunday Night Football with Kansas City unbeaten and Seattle coming off a loss

Kansas City is 5-0 and visits the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football at Lumen Field with Seattle listed as a 2.5-point home favourite and an over/under of 42.5.

The Story

The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs visit the Seattle Seahawks for Sunday Night Football on Sunday, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington.

Seattle is trying to bounce back from its third close defeat of the season, with the Seahawks losing all three games by a field goal or less. The Seahawks are also listed as 2.5-point home favourites in the Chiefs vs. Seahawks odds, with the over/under set at 42.5.

The Seahawks’ most recent loss came on Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos. Kansas City, meanwhile, is off to a perfect 5-0 start heading into the matchup, including a 22-6 win over the Chargers last week and consecutive victories over AFC West rivals.

Former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker had 128 rushing yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win over the Chargers, and the preview notes he leads the NFL in rushing at 133 yards per game with eight total touchdowns this season.

A SportsLine expert, Larry Hartstein, said Seattle should benefit from extra rest following its two-game skid against San Francisco and Denver. Hartstein also said the expected return of Zach Charbonnet should help ease pressure on quarterback Sam Darnold.

In the betting preview, the Seahawks are listed at -2.5 (-110), while Cooper Kupp is listed for over 24.5 receiving yards (-113). The preview adds that Kupp has 16 receptions for 179 yards and is coming off a game in which he caught five passes for 50 yards, with SportsLine’s model projecting 33 receiving yards in its latest simulations.
