Bruno Mars launches The Romantic Tour with a five-show Vancouver run at B.C. Place

Bruno Mars is set to play five concerts at B.C. Place in Vancouver as part of The Romantic Tour this week, with the Oct. 21 show still showing ticket availability at ticketmaster.ca.

The Story

Bruno Mars has begun a five-concert run in Vancouver as part of The Romantic Tour at B.C. Place this week, a schedule that was announced in rapid succession and quickly sold out.

According to the available information, only the fifth and final performance on Oct. 21 still had tickets available for purchase at ticketmaster.ca at the time of writing. Ticket prices for the shows ranged from $199 in the upper levels to more than $315 for scattered floor seats.

The Romantic arrived with chart momentum in Canada: the album entered the Billboard Canadian Albums chart at No. 1, and the single “I Just Might” held the top spot on the North American Hot AC, AC and Top 40 charts for 11 consecutive weeks. The single spent 20 weeks in that position on Canadian AC radio.

In Vancouver, Mars previously played Rogers Arena on June 3, 2011, co-headlining the Hooligans In Wondaland tour with Janelle Monáe. He later headlined a night at the Squamish Valley Music Festival a year after appearing at that venue in 2014.

Mars’s music career dates back to his rise with The Smeezingtons in 2009, alongside Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine, and his breakthrough featured appearance on B.o.B.’s “Nothin’” that same year. His debut solo release period followed quickly in 2010, including the EP It’s Better If You Don’t Understand and the album Doo-Wops & Hooligans, which produced additional No. 1 singles, including “Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade.”

For this Vancouver stop, the supporting-act lineup includes Anderson .Paak and Raye.
