Cabin on Frank Island at Chesterman Beach listed for $3.75 million, with bunkhouse and 13 acres

A cabin on Frank Island at Chesterman Beach near Tofino is listed for $3.75 million as a 13-acre property that splits at high tide.

The Story

A small cabin on Frank Island, in the rocky middle of Chesterman Beach, is up for sale for $3.75 million, according to the listing details.

The main cabin is about 915 square feet and includes views described as reaching in every direction, with sunrise views over Chesterman Beach and sunsets over the Pacific. The property is connected to the beach by a boardwalk and is described as steps away for morning strolls or afternoon surfing.

While the area is described as remote, the listing notes that cars are not allowed on the beach; parking is available on the Vancouver Island side, and visitors would need to haul belongings to the cabin using a wagon across the beach. The listing adds that arrival may depend on timing with low tide.

For additional accommodation, the property also includes a 320-square-foot bunkhouse located beside the main cabin. The listing describes Frank Island as just outside Tofino and a short walk along the beach to the Wickaninnish Inn.

The property being sold is described as 13 acres on the northern part of Frank Island, which is said to split into separate sections as the tide rises. Real estate agent Peter Raab is cited as saying a legal agreement is already in place with the owners of the southern half, setting the rules for the two owners on a 50/50 basis.
