A lineup of October 2026 arts and entertainment events in Metro Vancouver spans film, theatre, dance, and Halloween attractions.
The Story
Several October 2026 events across Metro Vancouver are scheduled to open in the first week of the month, including the Vancouver International Film Festival from October 1 to 11 at the VIFF Centre and Cedar Woman, running October 1 to 3 at the Scotiabank Dance Centre.
Other early-month listings include ALOK at the Vogue Theatre on October 2, as well as Murder for Two at the Anvil Theatre in New Westminster from October 2 to 4.
For Halloween season, Fright Nights is set to run from October 7 to 31 at the PNE, while Canyon Frights at the Capilano Suspension Bridge, North Vancouver, is scheduled for October 9 to November 1.
Theatre offerings later in the month include Tosca at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from October 24 to November 1 and Married comedians Matt Baram and Naomi Snieckus performing Big Stuff at Olympic Village Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre from October 14 to November 1.
Across the month, fall dance and music events include Wen Wei Dance at The Dance Centre on October 23 and 24, and Undertale: The Determination Symphony at Queen Elizabeth Theatre on October 10.
Additional film and performance listings in the month include a six-program Small File Media Festival on October 17 and 18 at The Cinematheque, along with ODE at Vancouver Playhouse from October 23 to 24.
