Burnaby RCMP say a man’s body was found on Highway 1 eastbound near the Kensington Avenue exit Tuesday morning.
The Story
Burnaby RCMP said police were called to Highway 1 on Tuesday morning after a man’s body was found lying on the roadway.
RCMP said the body was located in the eastbound lane near the Kensington Avenue exit and that the injuries were consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
The area was shut down eastbound while BC Highway Patrol investigated whether the man was struck by a vehicle that then left the scene.
RCMP asked anyone on Highway 1 near Kensington Avenue between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. Tuesday to check for dash cam footage that could help with the investigation.
RCMP said the Kensington on-ramp to Highway 1 east was also closed at the time of the report.
