Evander Kane’s latest NHL contract ended after a four-year, $20.5-million agreement that expired this past offseason, leaving the veteran forward without a current NHL contract.

The 35-year-old power forward has spent time with multiple teams, including the Atlanta Thrashers, Winnipeg Jets, San Jose Sharks, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks, and has played more than a decade in the league.

Kane has appeared in 1,001 regular-season games, finishing with 339 goals and 309 assists for 648 points. He also recorded 1,278 penalty minutes and averaged 18:32 of ice time per game.

In the playoffs, Kane has played 97 games, collecting 55 points while averaging 17:55 of ice time per contest.
