aespa closes North American leg with first Vancouver show at Rogers Arena

aespa performed their first Vancouver concert at Rogers Arena on Sunday, Oct. 11, closing the North American leg of their SYNK : COMPLæXITY Live Tour presented by Live Nation.

The Story

South Korean girl group aespa marked its first visit to Vancouver on Sunday, Oct. 11, when it brought the SYNK : COMPLæXITY Live Tour to a sold-out Rogers Arena, closing the tour’s North American run. Presented by Live Nation, the concert featured all four members—Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning—performing together in the city for the first time.

The show opened shortly after 8 p.m. with a rock-inspired introduction and visuals playing across three large screens behind the main stage. As music began, aespa launched into “Welcome to MY World,” followed by “LEMONADE” and then songs including “Switchblade” and “Whiplash,” with confetti appearing early and returning multiple times throughout the evening.

aespa also leaned into the tour’s “real and virtual worlds” concept, staging performances across a runway that extended toward a smaller platform closer to the audience. After video interludes, the group presented “Count On Me” with Karina at a piano, then moved through tracks including “Camouflage” and “Angel #48,” before stopping to speak with the crowd.

During the member remarks, Karina welcomed fans to Vancouver in English, acknowledging it was the group’s first time performing in the city. Winter shared that she hadn’t been feeling her best, while Giselle said she was recovering from a cold and warned that her voice was not yet back to normal; both continued into the set, including Winter’s “Can’t Help Myself,” later in the night.

The concert’s solo and unit section included Giselle and Ningning performing “Lollipop,” Karina delivering “16 Bit,” Winter presenting “Saddle Up,” Giselle performing “BYEB4HELLO,” and Ningning singing “I Love You But I Gotta Let You Go.” The group also reunited for “Serenade,” and later returned with arrangements including “Armageddon,” “Bite,” “Next Level” and “Supernova,” with audience singalongs and major reactions building toward the end of the main set.

After a video break and an audience dance challenge featuring songs that included “Whiplash,” “Armageddon” and “Rich Man,” aespa closed the concert with an encore featuring “YEPPI YEPPI” and “’Til We Die.” While the setlist included newer material, the performance notably did not include “Drama,” “Savage,” “Spicy” or “Illusion,” according to the set highlights in the report; the show still featured stage configurations, choreography and visuals designed around the tour’s continuing storyline.
