The Story
The United States Coast Guard says it is continuing a search for survivors aboard an Ontario air ambulance that vanished off the eastern coast of the United States early Saturday morning.
In an update Sunday morning, officials said they are concentrating their search around a debris field found the previous day, but they did not say whether the operation had shifted from rescue to recovery.
The aircraft, owned by Hamilton, Ont.-based Latitude Air Ambulance, was transporting a patient and a family member from Bermuda to Boston when it disappeared off the coast of Nantucket around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026.
Six people were aboard the aircraft, including four Canadians and two Bermudian nationals.
