The Art Gallery of Ontario says nine new exhibitions will open at the AGO in 2027, with dates ranging from January through December.

The Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) announced that nine new, original exhibitions will be on view in 2027 at its Toronto museum. The gallery says the lineup arrives as it looks ahead to the opening of the Dani Reiss Modern and Contemporary Gallery in 2027, the seventh expansion since the museum was founded in 1900.
The AGO said the planned 2027 openings include: Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster: OPERA (QM. 15), opening January 20, 2027, with a holographic-projection presentation of opera singer Maria Callas; Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun Lets’lo:tseltun: Man of Many Masks, Man of Many Colours, opening February 5, 2027; and Future Geographies: Art in the Century of Climate Change, opening March 3, 2027.
The gallery also listed Gershon Iskowitz: Memory Works, opening April 23, 2027; and two exhibitions opening July 28, 2027: Matisse: Notes on Jazz and Mary Pratt & Jack Chambers: The Lives of Others.
Additional 2027 openings announced by the AGO include Lisa Reihana’s monumental installation in Pursuit of Venus [infected] opening August 6, 2027; Pointillist Politics: Neo-Impressionism, Anarchy, Utopia opening November 3, 2027; and Tides of Treasure: Medieval Art and the Sea opening December 4, 2027.
The AGO’s final 2027 opening in its announcement is Image Incarnate: Icons from the Malcove Collection, opening December 18, 2027. The gallery said it will be on view through 2029.
