Health Canada is warning Canadians to stop using specific lots of Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Grip Mousse after packaging defects could cause leakage and bursting under pressure.

Health Canada has issued a consumer recall for more than 90,000 units of Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Grip Mousse sold in Canada due to a packaging issue that can create an injury hazard.
The agency’s recall notice says the product’s packaging can leak when it is under pressure. If leakage occurs, the package may burst, potentially causing injuries or property damage.
Consumers are being advised to immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
The company reported that 90,089 units of the affected Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Grip Mousse were sold across Canada during a defined distribution window from November 2023 through June 2026.
Health Canada also reports that an incident has been reported in connection with the issue, but that no injuries have been reported as of Sept. 18.
To help consumers determine whether their bottle is included, Health Canada advises checking the product against the specific lot numbers listed in the recall. The recall notice includes 25 lot numbers for the affected product.
The recall pertains to the hair styling mousse identified as Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Grip Mousse, sold in Canada in the period leading up to June 2026, with the reported hazard tied to defective packaging performance under pressure.
For refunds, Health Canada directs purchasers to return the product to the retailer where it was purchased, following the recall instructions provided with the notice.
Consumers who need help confirming whether their specific bottle is included in the recall can contact the Henkel Customer Support Team by telephone at 1-800-234-4672 (English). Support hours are Monday to Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT, and Friday from 6 a.m. to noon PT.
The recall also provides an email option for questions, with consumers able to reach support at skpcanada-support@henkel.com, in addition to checking the lot-number list referenced by Health Canada.
