Kole Lind returns to Canucks organization with one-year AHL contract

Kole Lind has signed a one-year AHL contract with the Abbotsford Canucks, the club announced on Oct. 2, 2026.

The Story

The Abbotsford Canucks announced on Oct. 2, 2026 that they have signed forward Kole Lind to a one-year AHL contract, bringing him back to the Vancouver Canucks organization five years after his previous AHL stint.

Lind was selected 33rd overall by Vancouver in the 2017 NHL Draft and spent three seasons with the Canucks’ then-AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets. Over 126 games with Utica, he recorded 24 goals and 46 assists.

He made his NHL debut with the Canucks during the 2020–21 season, appearing in seven NHL games that year. Lind was then selected by the Seattle Kraken in the 2021 Expansion Draft and played in the Kraken organization through the 2024–25 season, when he signed with the Texas Stars.

Abbotsford’s Oct. 2 announcement also included forward Sean Chisholm, who joined the organization after previously playing for Texas. Chisholm was initially signed by Vancouver’s ECHL affiliate, the Kalamazoo Wings, but agreed to a PTO with Abbotsford’s training camp and has since made the team.

The Abbotsford Canucks begin their 2026–27 season on Oct. 2 when they face the Calgary Wranglers at 6:00 p.m. PT.
