Seattle Seahawks cornerback Devon Witherspoon has been recognized by the NFL as the Week 6 Way to Play award recipient.
The league said the award was based on Witherspoon’s play against the Denver Broncos, highlighting his coverage and two pass break-ups.
The NFL Way to Play award aims to raise awareness for and recognize players who display proper playing technique.
As the recipient, Witherspoon will be supported by the NFL Foundation, which will award a $5,000 equipment grant through USA Football on his behalf to the Pensacola Seahawks Sports Association, a youth sports organization in Witherspoon’s hometown.
