The Story
Atletico Ottawa are back in the Canadian Premier League final after defeating Forge FC 3-2 in the second leg of their semifinal at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday.
The defending champions won the semifinal 5-4 on aggregate following a 2-2 draw in the first leg last week.
Fleuriau Chateau scored for Ottawa in the 25th and 84th minutes, then completed the hat trick by netting the game-winning goal 13 minutes into stoppage time.
Forge responded through Hoce Massunda, who put the visitors ahead five minutes into first-half stoppage time, and Daniel Nimick, who scored a penalty kick two minutes before Fleuriau Chateau’s stoppage-time winner.
Ottawa will face the winner of the other semifinal between Cavalry FC and FC Supra du Québec, which takes place later Saturday.
