MLS has released a 14-game sprint-season schedule for 2027, running from February to May before switching to the summer-to-spring calendar.

Major League Soccer has released the full schedule for its shortened 2027 “sprint season,” featuring a 14-game slate played from February through May ahead of a July switch to the summer-to-spring calendar used by many major leagues.
In the league’s 2027 format, each of the 30 MLS teams will play a 14-game schedule against conference opponents, with the top eight in each conference advancing to a single-elimination playoff bracket.
The campaign begins Feb. 19, when FC Cincinnati visits Inter Miami, and regular-season play is scheduled to end May 8. The MLS Cup final is set for the last weekend of May.
The lone all-Canadian matchup on the schedule has Toronto FC hosting CF Montreal on Feb. 27.
Other Canadian-team openings include Toronto beginning the sprint season on the road against Atlanta United on Feb. 20, while the Vancouver Whitecaps will host the Colorado Rapids the same day.
Montreal’s sprint-season opener is Feb. 21 against Charlotte FC on the road.
All three Canadian clubs are scheduled to finish their regular-season schedule on May 8, with Montreal hosting Cincinnati, Toronto hosting Miami and Vancouver visiting the San Jose Earthquakes.
