Eastside Culture Crawl marks 30 years with Nov. 19–22 open studio festival in Vancouver’s Eastside Arts District

The Eastside Culture Crawl Visual Arts, Design & Craft Festival will run Nov. 19–22, 2026, with more than 525 artists opening studios across Vancouver’s Eastside Arts District.

The Story

The Eastside Arts Society says its 30th annual Eastside Culture Crawl Visual Arts, Design & Craft Festival will take place Nov. 19–22, 2026, welcoming visitors into the studios of more than 525 artists across Vancouver’s Eastside Arts District. The Society says this year’s festival includes more than 85 new artists and 12 new buildings to the Crawl, an expansion of the event that it says began in 1996 with 45 artists opening their doors.

The Eastside Arts Society says the Crawl takes place in the Eastside Arts District, an area bounded by Columbia Street, 1st Avenue, Victoria Drive and the Waterfront. The Society says artists and craftspeople typically open workspaces including studios and workrooms to share the creative process with visitors, and it lists participating specialties including painting, jewellery, sculpture, furniture making, leather goods, photography, glasswork and textiles.

The Eastside Arts Society says it will also present a 2026 Preview Exhibition, P.A.R.T.Y. – Pushing Art diRectly To You, at its home at 716 E. Hastings Street from Nov. 5–28, 2026. The Society says the preview features 75 juried artists, with an opening reception set for Thursday, Nov. 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and it will be the first time the exhibition is held in the Society’s permanent headquarters.

The Eastside Arts Society says the 30th anniversary milestone includes additional pre-Crawl programming at 716 E. Hastings, including the Talking Art artist panel series on Nov. 12, 13 and 14, 2026 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and an in-person Moving Art screening on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026 at 9:00 p.m. The Society also says the Crawl Pop-up Studio returns in its third year, with crawl hours on Nov. 19–22, 2026 at Sunfire Studios Atrium, 1275 Venables St., Unit 111.

The Eastside Arts Society says it is also staging fundraising during the anniversary year, including a 4th Annual Contemporary Art Raffle with ticket sales closing Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. and a final draw Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026 at 4:00 p.m., with 165 tickets available. The Society says it will also host a Culture Crawl 30th Anniversary Silent Auction running Oct. 22–29, 2026 (closing at 7:00 p.m.), and a 30 for 30 fundraising campaign from Nov. 2 to Dec. 31, 2026 aiming to raise $30,000 to support 30 more years of accessible, low-cost arts programming.
