The remains of a Canadian Forces member who died in a fire during a training exercise at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright in Alberta will be flown home to Vancouver, according to reporting published Nov. 3, 2026.
The incident occurred at the base in Wainwright on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026.
A memorial was laid at the entrance of CFB Wainwright for four Canadian Armed Forces members who died in the fire, including Pte. Aidan Goulding, Pte. Hayden Lykkemark, Pte. Shaun Farrell and Sgt. Morgan Wong.
