Eastside Culture Crawl marks 30 years with free studios tour Nov. 19–22 across Vancouver’s Eastside

The Eastside Arts Society says the 30th annual Eastside Culture Crawl will run November 19–22, 2026 with free in-person studio access across Vancouver’s Eastside Arts District.

The Story

The Eastside Arts Society is marking the 30th annual Eastside Culture Crawl with a free, in-person event running November 19–22, 2026 across Vancouver’s Eastside Arts District.

The Crawl invites visitors into studios and workspaces of more than 525 artists across the area, which is described as bounded by Columbia Street, 1st Avenue, Victoria Drive and the Waterfront. The Society says the event began in 1996 with 45 artists opening their doors and has since grown to connect more than 40,000 art lovers each year with artists, craftspeople and designers.

Hours for the 2026 Culture Crawl are Thursday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The in-person locations range across the Eastside Arts District, including between Columbia St., 1st Ave., Victoria Drive, the Waterfront and 716 E. Hastings St. Admission is free.

The Society says this year’s Crawl includes more than 85 new artists and 12 new buildings, with participating artists working in areas such as painting, jewelry, sculpture, furniture, leather goods, photography, glasswork and textiles.

As part of the 30th anniversary, the Society says its 716 E. Hastings Street building—described as a 5,980-square-foot headquarters purchased after Vancouver City Council approved a Making Space for Arts and Culture grant—will serve as the central hub for additional Culture Crawl programming. The Society says the building will host a 2026 Preview Exhibition, P.A.R.T.Y. – Pushing Art diRectly To You, bringing 75 juried artists together under one roof from November 5–28, 2026.

The Society says the Preview Exhibition returns to a single-venue format this year, with its curatorial concept, statement and title developed by Crawl artists Eri Ishii, Hugh Kearney and Paul de Guzman. It also says pre-Crawl programming at 716 E. Hastings includes the Talking Art artist panel series and a Moving Art video screening, and features the Crawl Pop-up Studio, now in its third year, relocating this year to Sunfire Studios for artists who live and work from home and are unable to open their studios to the public.
