A CBS Sports preview published on Oct. 30 outlined the scheduled UFC Fight Night on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, headlined by Renato Moicano against Tom Nolan.
The preview listed Moicano (21-7-1) as a -130 betting favourite against Nolan (+110), along with the rest of the card’s odds: Jacobe Smith (-258) vs. Randy Brown (+210), and Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani (-310) vs. Farman Hasanov (+230).
For the undercard, CBS Sports also published odds for Cody Durden (-118) vs. Ode Osbourne (-102) and for women’s bantamweight Luana Santos (-305) vs. Yana Santos (+245).
In the preview, Moicano was quoted saying: “They offered the Nolan fight on the same card [UFC 332], and I said, Let’s do a main event.” He added: “It’s one thing to beat him on one week’s notice. I gave him that chance to be better prepared for this fight.”
The preview also included Nolan’s comments, including: “The way he used the body triangle to go between mount and back mount. I just thought it was a beautiful way to keep his hips facing the floor at all times.” Nolan said he would like to use elbows against Moicano, adding: “Ground and pound. Some elbows would be very nice. Just slicing and dicing would be sick.”
