Roman Bürki made one save for his fourth shutout this season as St. Louis City drew the Vancouver Whitecaps 0-0 on Wednesday.

The Story

St. Louis City extended its unbeaten streak in all competitions to an MLS record of 21 straight games with a 0-0 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday.

Bürki recorded his fourth shutout of the season, finishing with one save for St. Louis, while Yohei Takaoka made three saves for Vancouver.

Vancouver outshot St. Louis 17-8, but the teams were unable to score.

St. Louis (14-6-9) broke the previous MLS record set by the New York Red Bulls in 2016 and clinched a berth in the 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs. The club is unbeaten in 19 consecutive regular-season matches, tying the league mark held by Columbus and Dallas.

The result left Vancouver (15-7-7) leading the Western Conference with 52 points, one ahead of St. Louis.

Conrad Wallem left the match in the 40th minute after a head-to-head collision with Vancouver’s Tate Johnson. Takaoka’s 13 clean sheets this season are tied with Hugo Lloris of Los Angeles FC and Brian Schwake of Nashville for the most in MLS.

Up next, Vancouver visits Austin on Saturday, while St. Louis plays Minnesota on Saturday.
