The Story
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 136-129 at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night.
Portland improved to 3-0 as Damian Lillard (21 points), Ja Morant (23 points), Deni Avdija (23 points), and Jrue Holiday (22 points) all scored more than 20 in the win.
The Lakers were led by Luka Dončić, who finished with 41 points on 12-for-22 shooting, including 6 made threes.
Austin Reaves added 26 points for Los Angeles, while Walker Kessler scored 13 and Sandro Mamukelashvili contributed 17.
The box score also shows Dončić’s supporting cast of Reaves and Kessler on the night, but Portland’s production from multiple scorers was enough to hold off Los Angeles despite the Lakers’ high offensive ceiling.
