Ahead of Monday’s Nov. 2 matchup at Ball Arena, a betting analyst projects an over on the total in Trail Blazers–Nuggets.
The Story
The Denver Nuggets will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at Ball Arena, with tipoff set for 9 p.m. ET, according to a betting-preview posted with updated odds for the game.
In that preview, betting analyst Zak Hanshew projects the game will go over the total, recommending “Trail Blazers vs Nuggets prediction: Over 230.5,” while also indicating he would “trade the total up to 233.5.”
Hanshew said both teams are producing heavily in recent form, pointing to Denver averaging 121.5 points and Portland averaging 119.8 in the relevant span described in the post. He added that opponents have also scored relatively freely against both clubs, citing Portland allowing 115.8 and Denver surrendering 120.
The preview also highlighted past head-to-head results, saying three of four matchups between the teams last season went over the total, averaging 246.3 points, with two games surpassing 260 points.
On the defensive and shooting matchups, the post’s “COVERS INTEL” section attributed scoring potential to three-point volume, noting that across the last four games both teams rank in the top six for three-point attempts, combining for 29.3 per game. It stated Portland leads the league with 51.9% of its shots from beyond the arc, while Denver has allowed opponents to hit 37.7% of triples.
For a Portland side angle, the same preview recommended a spread bet of “Portland is undervalued on the road,” indicating the analyst would “trade this spread to +2.5.” The post also stated “Ja Morant is out,” and said Scoot Henderson and Jrue Holiday would fill in for him, while listing defensive players Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams III, and wing defender Toumani Camara, among Portland’s options.
The preview further tied its Lillard-focused view to the three-point matchup. It reported Damian Lillard is averaging 9.4 3PA and 3.2 3PM this season and has knocked down three triples in three of five games, while also stating the Nuggets have allowed the third-most triples (16.5) and have the third-highest 3-point percentage allowed at home (40.2%).
On player props, Hanshew suggested a combo involving Deni Avdija, listing “Deni Avdija Over 34.5 points + rebounds + assists,” and noted he would “trade this combo line up to 35.5.” The post says Avdija is averaging 35.6 PRA this season and has eclipsed 35 PRA in three of five games.
For Denver, the preview recommended a Nikola Jokic scoring prop, listing “Nikola Jokic Over 24.5 points,” and said the line would be traded up to 26.5. It reported Jokic is averaging 21.2 ppg across five outings, has scored 25+ only once, and referenced a 141-135 Denver win over the Pelicans described as the team’s highest-scoring game of the season, in which Jokic posted 35 points.
The odds included in the post listed Trail Blazers +3.5 (48%) and Nuggets -3.5 (53%) for the spread, Trail Blazers 39% and Nuggets 62% for the moneyline, and Over 230.5 (48%) versus Under 230.5 (53%) for the total. The preview stated odds were correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.
