Entering Week 7, the Seattle Seahawks rank 18th in rushing and about 52.6% of their attempts have been stopped at or behind the line of scrimmage.
The Story
The Seattle Seahawks’ run game has struggled to produce consistent results entering Week 7, when they rank 18th in rushing and are averaging 107.2 rushing yards per contest.
The gap from last season is also notable: Seattle’s current pace is below its 2025 average of 123.3 yards per game on the ground.
One stat highlighted by former NFL Director of Analytics Ryan Paganetti points to why the Seahawks have had trouble generating forward progress. Approximately 52.6% of Seattle’s rushing attempts have been hit at or behind the line of scrimmage, which Paganetti described as the third-worst mark in the NFL.
Paganetti’s analysis also places part of the issue on the offensive line. The Seahawks have been without starting right guard Anthony Bradford, who is expected back in the lineup against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.
Seattle is also looking ahead to returning other key pieces: running back Zach Charbonnet is expected to make his 2026 debut versus the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, and first-round pick Jadarian Price is expected to be eligible to come off IR next week.
