UFC 336 will take place Jan. 30 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, headlined by Joshua Van vs. Manel Kape and Carlos Prates vs. Michael Morales for the interim welterweight title.
The Story
UFC 336 is set to return to Toronto on Jan. 30, with the promotion’s first numbered event of 2027 featuring a flyweight title defence and an interim welterweight title fight. Main and co-main bout matchups were announced during Saturday’s broadcast of UFC 333.
UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van will defend his belt against Manel Kape in the event’s headliner. The two fighters are scheduled to meet at Scotiabank Arena, with Van’s matchup marking his fourth title fight in 11 months, following his title win last year over Pantoja.
In the co-main event, Carlos Prates and Michael Morales are scheduled to fight for the interim welterweight title. The booking keeps Prates and Morales on a collision course after they were previously identified as top challengers for welterweight champion Islam Makhachev, with the interim title now at stake between them.
The fight night comes as UFC’s first visit to “The Six” since Dricus du Plessis and Sean Strickland competed for the middleweight title two years ago.
