After UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi at Etihad Arena, the UFC awarded fight and performance bonuses worth $100,000 and several finish bonuses of $25,000.
The Story
The UFC handed out four bonuses after Saturday’s card in Abu Dhabi at Etihad Arena, with multiple fighters receiving extra pay for standout performances.
Among the $100,000 awards, Petr Yan earned Fight of the Night for his bantamweight title trilogy bout against Merab Dvalishvili, winning the final round after splitting the earlier rounds and building momentum as Dvalishvili slowed in the fourth.
In the main event, Alexander Volkanovski received a $100,000 Performance of the Night after defending his featherweight title against undefeated Movsar Evloev, reversing a takedown attempt in Round 2 and scoring a TKO in the closing seconds of the second round.
Lone’er Kavanagh also earned a $100,000 Performance of the Night, overwhelming Ramazan Temirov with fast, accurate combinations that led to a barrage of strikes late in the opening round.
In addition to the bonus winners above, five fighters received $25,000 finish bonuses: Aaron Pico (TKO over Losene Keita), Dominick Reyes (knockout over Azamat Murzakanov), Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev (finish of Nikita Krylov midway through the opening round), Abus Magomedov (guillotine choke over Cam Rowston in Round 1), and Kody Steele (opening-round stoppage over Noah Gugnon).
